Glastonbury Library: Family Storytelling with Jane Flood

Thursday 30 July 1pm

We are delighted to be the main event celebrating the re-opening of Glastonbury library as a community hub on July 30th. The threatened closure of this precious resource was strongly resisted and the campaign to keep it and other Somerset libraries open became the model used by many other library users resisting closures throughout the country.

Join Jane Flood for an afternoon of  Wild Witches, Brave Boys and a few Talkative Trees! Traditional stories from around the world with plenty of interaction and family friendly fun .

Jane Flood has been telling traditional stories since 1994. Her work has taken her all around the world and in the gaps in between. In the past 10 years she has had the delight and privilege to deliver four one-year landscape residencies in Somerset and North Somerset and she is now working with people, place and story with the passionate belief that if we can relate with our senses to the natural world we will be better able to protect it.
